Grandpa's Spot

The other day we went with Jeremy's mom to place a new flower arrangement at "Grandpa's Spot". It is absolutely beautiful; she did a wonderful job creating it.
While we were there I got to have a first look at the bench that was put in at Dad Meyers' grave site. This is the back.
We also took my parents to see the new marker and flowers a few days later. In this picture you can see the front of the marker - it has both Ron's and Karen's names along with a sweet photo of them together.
We tried to get a good photo of the boys at "Grandpa's Spot".
Then we tried to get a photo of the boys with Jeremy. It didn't work well.
I probably would have gotten a decent shot, except that the children didn't want to sit still, and Jeremy didn't enjoy the wisecrack I said about seeing his "balding" spot in the pictures...
The boys did have a good time running around in the grass. I tried to explain to them that it wasn't polite to step on any of the markers, and they were compliant.
By far, the sweetest moment of the evening was when we told the boys that the bench had pictures of Grandma and Grandpa so we could remember Grandpa. Grayson walked to the bench, pointed at the picture of Ron and said, "Grandpa" clear as day.

Awesome story about Grayson. Is he used to seeing his Grandpa upside down? He's so adorable...
