Oh, So Busy

Busy would be an understatement. It seems like I've been on the go for the past few weeks. Jeremy had training on the east side of the state, so the kids and I went along for a few days and visited my parents. We've been doing some work on our house, and that's been keeping us very busy. Jeremy's been working a lot of overtime (good for money, bad for sanity), so I've been pulling the job of "single mom" for a while - and I have a ton of respect for those of you who are truly single parents. I don't know how you do it! Not to mention just trying to keep up with our responsibilities that are winding down for the end of the year... Here's a few pictures!
Grayson was being goofy the other day - or Oscar! He wanted to put on the winter hat and mittens I was getting packed up for next winter.
Jeremy and Jayce turned a couple of boxes from our recent redecorating into robot outfits for the boys.
I managed to get a couple of awesome shots of Grayson one afternoon. I just can't decide which way I like it best!
The other shot of Grayson I love.
Grayson had his first* experience with a band-aid. *I think it was his first, but I might have tried to get him to wear one before.* Grayson is a huge fan of Mickey Mouse and Pluto, but apparently he isn't a fan of them being stuck to his body. Somehow, he got a little, slightly deep cut on his ring finger. Knowing everything he gets into, I wanted to keep it protected. Grayson basically cried for the three hours he had it on. Thankfully, he fell asleep for a while in there, but the rest of the time... tears.
I thought it was necessary to put in a recent photo of Jayce. He's growing up so fast, and this picture makes him look like he's 7 or 8!
This is what Jeremy's been doing (when he's not working). He recently asked me for a list of things I'd like done around the house. Thus, Jeremy's Honey-Do List was born. Many things have already been crossed off!
We bought some new shelves for our living room/dining room.
Jeremy had many little hands to help with the work.
Thankfully they were only given plastic hammers. I shudder to think what the result would have been otherwise!
The end result!
We moved our backyard fence. Now our back door opens to a gated area, and we have a patio area for the kids to play on and that we plan to put a table and chairs on.
We put in new storm doors. This is something we've been wanting to do for a while, but we finally got around to it. That fence is coming out still. We're also planning on painting the house this year.
Our new storm door in the front of the house. I love that I can sit with the front door open and get a breeze and lots of sunlight now!
We've definitely been busy! I wonder what May will bring....

I especially like the picture that shows a little color . . . like blue eyes and pink lips! If anyone's voting, that's my pick! The shelves are great! And. . . don't you love having a door open! A. Jeanette

Wow, busy is an understatement. Everything looks great! I wish Jeremy would send some of that motivation over this way! :)
