Butterflies Are In Bloom

Today, we put our yearly membership to the Frederik Meyers Gardens and Sculpture Park to good use: we went to see the butterflies. If you live in the West Michigan area, you have to check this out! We had such a good time. Grandma and Grandpa even got to tag along for our adventure!
Grandma kept a good eye on Jayce while we were exploring the butterfly exhibit. Notice them holding hands as Jayce checks out the butterflies.
I had fun using our new camera to take all kinds of pictures of the butterflies. I think a couple turned out pretty good.
Grayson even enjoyed looking at the bugs and plants. Yes, he is only wearing a onesie - he had a sweatshirt on, but we took it off because of how warm and humid it was in the green house. Poor planning on our part.
The butterflies were attracted to the bright colors that Grandma was wearing. Jayce thought it was pretty cool that there was a butterfly on his grandma.
There were some pretty cool orchids. At least, I think it was an orchid. At least it was a pretty cool looking flower that I took a picture of... :)
More butterflies.
The whole clan (minus the photographer) checking out an area of the greenhouse.
Apparently the butterflies were attracted to Jayce's colorful t-shirt also. That's a black butterfly on his back. He thought it was pretty cool that it landed on him.
When Jayce would get the chance, he'd get up close to a butterfly and say, "Hi butterfly! Hi butterfly!" It was really cute.... I think I got it on video too.
My boys. Checking out their surroundings and ignoring the camera. Like father, like sons.
What a great picture. He was so interested in what was going on around him that he didn't even notice Jeremy taking his picture.
Two beautiful butterflies feeding. More interesting pictures.
This is the awesome chandelier that hangs in the atrium of the building. What a picture perfect sky as a background.
What a picture perfect day too - well, at least until we found out about Jenney's little boy, Baby J, who was hospitalized with the flu. He's one sick baby boy right now... please continue to pray for him. And, no, I haven't forgotten to get some pictures from our trip to Arizona up here... it's just along process getting them downloaded and we have been extremely busy couple of days since we got back. I'll try to get them up tomorrow! Don't forget - please pray for Baby J!!
